Galvanized Iron (GI) ducts are a cornerstone in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, renowned for their durability, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness. These ducts are constructed from steel sheets coated with a layer of zinc through the galvanization process, enhancing their longevity and performance in various applications.

  • Material Composition: GI ducts are primarily made from mild steel sheets, which are coated with zinc to prevent rust and corrosion.

  • Manufacturing Process: The galvanization process involves applying a protective zinc coating to the steel, which significantly increases the duct’s resistance to environmental factors and extends its service life.

  • Standard Sizes: GI ducts are available in various sizes, typically ranging from 75 mm to 1600 mm in diameter, with lengths that can be customized to meet specific requirements.

Corrosion Resistance: The zinc coating provides excellent protection against rust and corrosion, especially in environments with moderate humidity and temperature fluctuations. This makes GI ducts suitable for long-lasting use in HVAC applications

  • HVAC Systems: For efficient air distribution in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

  • Exhaust Systems: For removing air from buildings, ensuring proper ventilation.

  • Air Handling Units: Integrated into units to manage and distribute air throughout a space.
