Mixing Box
A Mixing Box is a component in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems that is designed to blend or mix air from different sources—typically fresh outdoor air and return air from the building. This helps achieve the desired air temperature, quality, and humidity before it is supplied to the conditioned space.
It is commonly used in air handling units (AHUs) or duct systems, especially in centralized HVAC setups.

Mixing Box
Inlet Dampers: Control the flow of outdoor and return air
- Internal Baffles or Vanes: Help in thorough mixing of air streams
- Actuators: Automatically adjust damper positions based on sensors
- Insulated Panels: Minimize energy loss and condensation
